Practical workplace skills
and academic qualifications bring you closer to your career goal.
Sydney and New South Wales (NSW) has a long history of providing opportunities in vocational education and training.
As a graduate of our technical and further education system, you gain practical workplace skills and academic qualifications to move directly into a career or transfer with credit to an Australian university.
Your safety and personal wellbeing is a high priority. On-campus International student coordinators, careers advisers and counsellors on campus provide orientation and welcome programs. Ongoing professional support is also provided to international students throughout their studies.
In Sydney and NSW vocational courses are provided at government-owned and operated Technical and Further Education (TAFE) Institutes and non-government, private colleges.
Intensive English programs and university preparation courses develop competency for tertiary studies.
TAFE NSW is the largest education and training provider in the southern hemisphere and enrols about 500,000 students every year.
TAFE NSW offers more than 1,200 work-related training courses and intensive English programs at 130 campuses throughout Sydney and other cities and towns in the State.
International students can choose Certificate to Advanced Diploma, Diploma-to-Degree and Bachelor degree courses with TAFE NSW.
For more information on studying at TAFE NSW visit NSW Department of Education and Training.
